# Lyme Disease and Co-infections

## Taking the complexity out of a complex illness

Over the years of supporting those with Lyme Disease, Dr. Bean has come to realize how complex it can be to support those suffering from this infection, known as Borrelia burgdorferi. With the various training Dr. Bean has done with mentors to attending conferences, she has come to realize each and every person deserves their own unique and tailored plan.

The complexity of treating Lyme can be due to various underlying factors such as extreme stress, heavy metal toxicity, mold illness, to several other co-infections such as Bartonella to Babesia.

## Dr. Bean sees you

You may be suffering from chronic fatigue, migrating body pain, neurological symptoms, extreme body pain to more unexplained symptoms that are unexplainable by your health care providers.

Dr. Bean understands that these symptoms can be the result of underlying chronic infections.

## How does Dr. Bean structure a plan to address chronic infections?

The complexity of treating lyme and co-infections is uncovering the obstacles inhibiting the body to heal. Treatment will therefore be different for each individual who presents with a series of symptoms.

## DID YOU KNOW...

...in 2013 CDC estimated there are over 300,000 new cases per year of Lyme Disease?

## Chronic Infections

Chronic infections can look similar to others, which can make determining which infection to address first. Dr. Bean’s approach is using a combination of your health history, symptoms with the combination of more advanced testing to determine which infection to address first.

## DID YOU KNOW...

...ticks can spread not only the bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi but also 19 other co-infections.

## TREATMENTS

## Antibiotics

Dr. Bean ocassionally will use antibiotics but due to causing microbial resistance, decline of digestive function along with mitochondrial function, Dr. Bean advises to use antibiotics sparingly.
